Key Solar are dedicated to seeing you get the most out of your solar system and therefore recommend a 6 monthly check up and clean.
Checking the safety and performance will give you the peace of mind that your system is performing correctly and it’s a requirement of the Electrical Safety Standards that all systems be check on a periodical basis.
Our Check Up and Clean includes:
- Cleaning any debris from under or around the array and cabling
- Removal of any build up of dust, grim and or bird droppings
- Checking all wiring
- Test operating of AC and DC switches and isolation links
- Performance testing of the array voltage to check that it’s within the acceptable parameters
It’s not unreasonable to estimate that solar panels can lose between 15-25% of their efficiency if not cleaned and maintained and therefore is an indispensable part of the maintenance and performance of your system.
